Extensive studies have shown an increase in movement can improve our energy, reduce stress and aid better performance and greater concentration. Prolonged sitting and standing are detrimental to our health because it is ‘movement’ that offers the greatest benefit.

But by simply changing your sitting position to standing will not in itself gain much of a health benefit. The action of regularly changing from sitting to standing throughout the day, in addition to taking regular moderate exercise that, together, will help prevent the development of chronic health issues such as heart disease and type 2 diabetes.
