Start: 9.30am Acoustics & Workplace Wellbeing - Ros Lambert – Porter, Forte Acoustics Ltd

Research has revealed the detrimental effect of poor acoustics on productivity and wellbeing within the workplace. This presentation addresses some of the most relevant findings and demonstrates how this applies to modern workplace design. It will focus on how we process sound and how that relates to the way acoustics consultants quantify the quality of these environments and what can be done to optimise them for worker productivity and health.

Ros Lambert-Porter is an experienced acoustics consultant specialising in work place noise, psychoacoustics and building acoustics. With degrees in both Audiology and Applied Acoustics, she holds memberships to the Institute of Acoustics, the Institute of Engineering Designers, the Institute of Sound and Communications Engineers and the British Society of Audiologists.

Ros' client list includes architects and designers, facilities managers, furniture manufacturers, planning consultants and schools. With consulting experience on three continents, Ros has had extensive experience on all sizes of projects for major hotel and property developments, airports, corporate headquarters, universities and public sector buildings. Her background in both hearing health and acoustics makes her approach to workplace wellbeing a unique one.
