On Sunday 22nd of April (2018), thousands of people will gather for one of the world’s biggest annual events in central London, to participate (or to be a spectator) in the Virgin Money London Marathon.

Sarah Griffin our Finance Manager and wife of MACOI’s Group Managing Director Darren Griffin, will be running the 26.2 miles in this years' event all in aid of raising vital funds for an amazing UK charity – Sands, Still Birth and Neonatal Death Charity. Sands was founded by bereaved parents in 1978 who found that there was no access to support following the deaths of their babies. Since then Sands has grown, but parents who have experienced baby death are still at the core of everything they do.

Your support and sponsorship will help Sarah’s challenge of running all 55,334 steps and help fund important research and reduce the number of babies dying by at least 20%. Together we can help ensure there is a bereavement midwife and bereavement suite in every hospital in the UK whilst helping to implement a National Bereavement Care Pathway that ensures every parent from every background receives equally excellent bereavement care.
