Having partnered with David Bailey, the project manager at the University of East London (UEL), on a number of successful furniture refurbishments, MACOI Ltd were delighted to be invited to submit a proposal to refurbish the Student Union within the London city campus.
After receiving the brief for the project, we selected furniture including soft seating, low tables, stools and a reception counter that were flexible, durable and multifunctional to adapt to a busy challenging environment. All furniture was finished in red, black and grey to fit in with the chosen colour scheme with soft seating covered in vinyl ensuring their suitability for a high-use area.
A bespoke reception counter was supplied to the Student Union in a design previously supplied to the University. The counter was finished in matching colours to suit the newly refurbished area. We have received positive feedback for the new area from both David and the students and we’re looking forward to working with the UEL on future projects.
